Nokia Lumia 710 on T-Mobile

Nokia has begun their comeback tour to the US with the Lumia 710 on T-mobile. The Lumia 710 will sport a 3.7″ LCD w/ CBD technology, a 1.4GHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 25GB of Microsoft’s cloud service called “SkyDrive”, 5MP camera, and the capability to capture HD video. Windows Phone 7.5 Mango is the OS and support for Nokia Drive will be preloaded on the device.

I’m kind of bummed because I was hoping the Lumia 800 would come to T-Mobile but the 710 isn’t that bad after you take a closer look. The 512MB of RAM sounds kind of weak, but numerous reviews have confirmed it runs smoothly. The main reason it isn’t a bad phone is that you get a decent smartphone for only $50! Of course it will take a 2yr contract but the price that it’s coming in at and what you get is impossible to beat right now. I see this phone being hit with families and kids because it’s cheap! The Lumia 710 will be available on January 11 and come in either black or white.

Samsung Series 5 Ultrabook

Samsung just released a 14″ ultrabook under the Series 5 lineup. The Series 5 ultrabook will sport an Intel Core i5 processor with AMD HD7550M graphics chipset, 8GB of RAM, options for a 1TB HD or 128GB SSD, and an optical disc drive.

An ultrabook with an optical disc drive? I guess so. I’m pretty sure ol’ skoolers will be happy with that inclusion! No word if it will be released stateside. The Series 5 ultrabook will be released later this month in Korea with a $1120 base price.

The new Casio GB-6900-4JF will feature NEC technology and Bluetooth 4.0 making the watch tell you more than just the time. The new G-Shock will be able to tell you about text messages, missed calls, incoming calls and if your smartphone/tablet is running out of battery.

If you don’t have a G-Shock yet, this is probably the one you might want to get! Pricing and release date are still TBD.
